Rolls-Royce Contract for Dussmann

04/03/2007 – Provider of multiple services Dussmann Service receives major contract from engine producer
 

Dussmann Service, part of the Dussmann Group, is to be the service partner for Rolls-Royce throughout Germany from April 2007. Dussmann Service will be responsible for the provision of the complete service package for integrated facility management at both Rolls-Royce locations at Dahlewitz near Berlin and Oberursel near Frankfurt am Main. The five year contract covers the operating, servicing and maintenance of all technical equipment, the cleaning of buildings, the provision of catering services for the more than 2,500 members of staff as well as additional services.

Rolls-Royce Germany is the only officially approved engine producer with development, production and operation licenses for modern civil and military turbine engines in Germany.

“We are aiming to optimize the facility management processes by grouping the location-based services together. The in-depth service provision as well as Dussmann Service’s know-how in the field of integrated facility management services were pivotal to the decision-making process”, said Michael Kern, Managing Director of Operations for Rolls-Royce Germany. In the future it is planned to extend the contract to include other services.

As the supplier of an integrated building management package, Dussmann Service has strengthened its position as a partner for high-tech businesses with the contract for Rolls-Royce Germany. “With four decades of experience we understand the processes of our clients and are able to develop supportive and innovative services which can contribute to the smooth-running of these processes”, says Peter Dussmann, owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dussmann Group. “We are delighted to be able to support Rolls-Royce Germany”, he continued.
