Kursana

Kursana Continues to Grow

06/12/2007 – Kursana, the leading private service provider in senior citizen care with its headquar-ters in Berlin, will continue to expand its national and international commitments.
 

In 85 facilities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Estonia, 5,000 employees currently look after around 11,200 senior citizens. Kursana's turnover throughout Europe in 2006 was €217 million. The locations in the various regions can be found on the Internet at www.kursana.de/haeuser.

In 2006 and in the first few months of this year five new senior citizen residences opened in Lappersdorf (Bavaria), Potsdam (Brandenburg), Merseburg (Saxony-Anhalt), Lingen (Lower Saxony) and Donzdorf (Baden-Württemberg). A further resi-dence in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (Baden-Württemberg) will be starting up in July 2007. Furthermore, residential nursing homes are also under construction in Barsinghausen (Lower Saxony), Kaiserslautern (Rhineland-Palatinate), Vaihingen (Baden-Württemberg) and Bruchköbel (Hesse). This year will also see the start of con-struction of Kursana Residences in Hamburg-Billstedt and Buchholz/Nordheide and Aurich (both in Lower Saxony). This expansion will result in the creation of around 400 new jobs in Germany in 2007.

With around 50,000 employees in 26 countries, the Dussmann Group offers all services relating to buildings from a single source under the brand name of Dussmann Service: technical services, catering, security and reception services, cleaning services, com-mercial and energy management. The second-largest business unit Kursana provides care and supervision for 11,200 senior citizens. Furthermore, the Dussmann Group operates the "KulturKaufhaus" in Berlin. In 2006 the Dussmann Group achieved a total turnover of €1.31 billion, making it one of the world's largest private multi-service providers.
