"Affectionate Care and a Cheerful Atmosphere" – Good Grades for Kursana from Stiftung Warentest
03/03/2006 – The Kursana residences are of a high standard. This has now been confirmed by the Stiftung Warentest product testing foundation.
In one test 12 senior citizen residences throughout Germany were scrutinised closely, including the Kursana Residence in Hamburg, which received good grades in all categories and is clearly among the top places in the overall assessment. The residence and its employees, as well as the numerous items on offer to the residents, made a good impression on the testers.
In the latest edition of the magazine Finanztest the testers praise in particular the "cheerful atmosphere in the home" as well as the "affectionate care by very at-tentive personnel". The common facilities and range of events on offer are as-sessed as "good", while the catering and cultural aspects are considered to be "very good". The testers were also impressed by the location in the green sur-roundings of a residential area, with the underground railway station right out-side, as well as the many opportunities for shopping and other services. Accord-ing to Stiftung Warentest those who are particularly interested in cultural matters will find a varied programme of events here, such as a literature group and con-certs in the residence's own hall.
Kursana, a company within the Dussmann Group, was founded in 1985 and op-erates private nursing facilities and residences for senior citizens, as well as insti-tutions for the care of the disabled, throughout Germany. At 80 facilities 4,500 employees look after around 10,500 senior citizens. Kursana is therefore the leading private provider of care to senior citizens in Germany.
