The Dussmann Group Concludes 2009 with Positive Results
12/16/2009 – Alone in the past three months, the FM service provider has won new contracts with a value of 100 million Euros
“The Dussmann Group has done well during the business year of 2009. There has been moderate organic growth in sales, earnings have increased by a double figure percentage and the number of employees worldwide has risen. We are optimistic about 2010 because we have a solid presence in two thriving markets: Facility Management and nursing and care services for the elderly. In both cases we are a market leader in Germany among the private service providers. There are opportunities for growth in both markets and proportionately, earnings rise faster than sales” summarizes Thomas Greiner, Chief Executive Officer of the Dussmann Group at a press conference on 16 December 2009 in Berlin.
“There are so many opportunities worldwide for a flexible service provider, for example when tasks that have previously been carried out by public services are privatized. We are constantly widening the scope of our Integrated Facility Management services and the way 70 individual services are interlinked to create individual packages. Nursing and care of the elderly will definitely be a central issue in the coming years” continued Thomas Greiner. “During the five years from 2008 to 2012 following the financial crisis, we aim to achieve organic growth of 330 million Euros. We are optimistic that we will achieve this goal” he concluded.
In times of crisis, the Dussmann Group’s policy of giving smaller and medium-sized contracts the same attention as major accounts pays dividends. Alone in the last three months of 2009, the FM service provider has won new contracts across the globe with a value of 100 million Euros.
