The Dussmann Group grows by 47 Million Euros

The Dussmann Group, which has activities worldwide, achieved total sales of 1,331 Million Euros in 2007. This represents a growth of 4 percent or 47 Million Euros compared to the previous year both in Germany and abroad. The announcement was made on Monday in Berlin by Thomas Greiner, the CEO of the largest private multi-service worldwide.

"In 2007, the group showed a substantial increase in international sales for the sixth year in a row. Now in its 45th year, the Dussmann Group has lost none of its innovative energy and was able to extend its field of activities, achieving a more resounding financial success than ever before. During the current year, my fellow board members and I expect growth of five percent in our core business activities, the growing markets of Integrated Facility Management and Seniors’ Care. In 2008, the Dussmann Group will create 1,000 new jobs in Germany. The newly established board, which in addition to myself, consists of Dr. Christiane Jaap (Finances), Dirk Brouwers (Dussmann Service), Axel Gränitz (International) and Jörg Braesecke (Kursana) has got off to a good start. The handover last year from Peter Dussmann of a sound company in good health, certainly helped" added the CEO.

In 2007 the Dussmann Group took on an extensive service package for Rolls-Royce Germany. In addition, the services provided to the Prussian  Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (SPSG) through a mutually owned service company, were extended.

Worldwide, the Dussmann Group is expanding its position as a market leader in facility services to hospitals. The group division Kursana took on the operation of seven new nursing facilities for seniors.

The Berlin-based company operates in 26 countries under the brand name Dussmann Service and offers all facility services from one source: Technical Services, Catering, Security and Reception Services, Cleaning, Commercial Management and Energy Management. The second largest division, Kursana provides nursing and care to seniors. In addition, the group operates the multi-media store, Dussmann das KulturKaufhaus in Berlin.
