Restoration of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden

The urgently needed restoration of the Staatsoper (opera house) Unter den Linden has been a matter close to Peter Dussmann’s heart for many years. As the chairman of its supporters and sponsors, he is working towards this goal together with a number of other art lovers. The association has made a commitment to the federal government and the senate of Berlin to provide 30 million Euros for the restoration of the opera.

“In the capital, Berlin, I hope for commitment based on pride in our cultural heritage. Every Euro donated to return the Linden opera to its former glory counts. Our motto: don’t just consume state-subsidized culture but contribute to its conservation,” says Peter Dussmann
